In the 2016 election cycle, Duffy managed more than $2,000,000 in digital advertising for local and statewide measures.
Prior to settling in Sacramento, Duffy worked on over two dozen political campaigns beginning in the Washington D.C. office of David Axelrod & Associates. Duffy also served as Press Secretary for Assembly Speaker Fabian Nuñez and was the Chief Speechwriter for Governor Gray Davis.
He served as Communications Director for the campaigns of Congressman Mike Honda and Los Angeles City Council Member Mike Feuer, Campaign Manager for Assembly Member Wally Knox, and Senior Consultant specializing in initiative campaigns for the consulting firm of Townsend Raimundo Besler & Usher (TRBU). With TRBU, Duffy helped produce direct mail for county transportation campaigns in Sacramento, San Bernardino and San Diego, along with a BART seismic bond in the Bay Area.
A Southern California native, Duffy earned his Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies and Government from Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut. He attended the graduate school of Journalism at the University of Missouri, Columbia, and earned a Master’s Degree in Political Management from George Washington University in the nation’s capital.
